Sustainable Governance and Management of Water Supply
The overall focus of the course is to provide PhD students with an introduction to the management side of water provision, including organizational aspects, political governance and financial issues. The main focus of the proposed course is how we can organize for more sustainable water and waste water management services. This will be accomplished by going deeper into the following different areas
- System thinking. How do we ensure that all parts of the system and their interrelationships ensured in decision making and development of service provision. A system consists of for example: infrastructure, natural resources, service providing organizations, economic systems and political and social systems.
- Organization of service provision: how can we use organizational development to support a sustainable development of water service provision.
- Financial perspectives on water service provision
