Life Cycle Analysis for Sustainable Water Systems

After completing the course, students should be able to:

  • Describe the trends in the operating environment and technological systems for sustainable water and wastewater utilities
  • Understand the content and context of life cycle assessment, and be able to commission LCA studies, engage in critical and constructive dialogue with LCA practitioners and read LCA reports in order to extract useful implications.
  • Describe aspects of life cycle assessment methods that are particular to the evaluation of water services.
