As a water researcher, you sometimes need to address a non-expert audience. You may be asked to compose a press release about science results, put together a popular science abstract or article, or write up a report to inform a company board or investors about your research results. The course popular science writing for water researchers provides you with tools to reflect on the style and structure of popular science writing in English – both in contrast to academic writing and to other types of text. During the course, you will write, discuss and receive feedback on different types of popular science texts. The course is jointly run by a communication expert and a water researcher, and involves three mandatory meeting days in addition to preparation between meetings.
Physical meetings in Lund (NOTE all compulsory)
A more detailed schedule will follow
